ROAD S1437 AT HARRISMITH TO CLOSE FOR NINE MONTHS FOR MAINTENANCE
The Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport (DCSRT) in the Free State Province wishes to notify the public, motorists and residents of Harrismith/Tshiame that road number S1437 at the junction with the S689 near Mabathe Farm School and the Kalanyoni Access road, will close on Wednesday, 27 September 2023 for a period of nine months due to the upgrading of internal roads in Harrismith.
All traffic is requested to deviate to the N5 and access the town via Tshiame A. It is crucial to plan your journeys accordingly to minimize inconvenience during this period.
The maintenance work on the road will enhance the safety of motorists and residents and the upgraded road infrastructure will result in smoother traffic flow, reducing congestion, and the time spent on the road.

MEC TO MEET WITH STAKEHOLDERS AND COMMUNITY OF INTABAZWE/HARRISMITH
The MEC for the Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport will hold meetings with stakeholders and the community of Intabazwe and Harrismith on Friday 25 August 2023.

The MEC for the Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport handed over the construction site for work to be done on the R76 near Viljoenskroon on Tuesday 15 August 2023. She will speak on Lesedi FM 87.7 at 13:15 today to give more detail about the project.
